Charlotte Yocum married Henry Vennemen 20 Jul 1854, he died 13 Nov 1863 below Weston. Annals of Platte Co., MO, p. 353. She was a daughter of Simon Yocum. Her children were Henry, Timothy, Elizabeth, Harrison, Lucinda, Susan & John. Annals of Platte Co., MO, p. 395. Annals of Platte Co., MO, p. 501 states that Hulda Yocum, daughter of Simon P. Yocum, married Henry Vennemen, that he was killed in Civil War and she re-married 1 Jan 1865 to Dan Leaky.

They appear on the 1850 census of Taney Co., MO (Stone Co. formed in 1851) as J. G. 38 TN, China 36 AR, A. S. 18 AR, P. 14, E. 12, J. G. 6, J. D. 4 and D. 1, all children born in MO. Chiney and Jepson appear on the 1860 census of Stone Co., MO, him aged 49 B. KY; her 47 b. AR; Elizabeth 17 MO; Jeptha G. 14 MO; John D. 12 MO; Daniel H. 10 MO and Noah 2 MO. Jepson was reportedly murdered by Bushwackers near the end of the Civil War, page 581 in Goodspeed's Reminiscent History of the Ozarks. Genealogical Helper, Mar 1977, p. 129 reported that Richard Beasley born 1826 in KY, married Parizada Bowman, a daughter of China Yocum - Indian.

Jeremiah Yocum, son of Jonas, b. 8 Sep 1828, d. 26 Jul 1899, buried at St. Gabriel's Episcopal Church Cem., Douglasville, PA. Hannah Kirlin, 1830-1903, buried there also, may have been his wife. Her parents: John and Sarah Kirlin

Jesse Yocum pension application #11940, found by Earl Quintrell, file contained a letter from a James Ray 3 Jan 1833, in Mercer Co., KY to a Jesse Yocum at Fort Jesup, LA, by way of Nachetoches, advising Jesse to apply for Revolutionary pension, in which he stated "you could get pay for your service particularly for time you was a prisoner..." He mentioned a John Gritton that could help him. 19 Mar 1835 an Edmund Quick gave deposition for Jesse, had known him since 1780, knew he had been a prisoner, had served under Capt. Hugh McGary in Col. John T. Bowman’s Regt, that Jesse went after Shawnee Indians in Gen. Clark’s Expedition in 1788, that Jesse was taken prisoner at Blue Lake, was kept for a year, taken to Detroit and Montreal, tried to escape, was re-captured and kept in irons until discharged at the end of the war and returned to KY in Aug 1783. No mention of family. Pension denied. He apparently moved to Lafayette, LA

Lucinda Yocum born 1840-45 in MO, married Jesse Coker after 1860. !860 census of Christian Co., MO shows Jesse as single, age 30, working as a laborer. Jesse not found in Civil War records. They were divorced. In 1870 census she is shown with children: William Frank Coker age 9, Sarah Coker age 6 and Deea Coker age 1 (this was Anna Malinda Coker). In 1880 census Lucinda is listed as Sinda Cooker, with children: Sarrah age 15, Susan age 11, Julia age 6, and Benj. F. Age 1 month and lists her as divorced. Josephine Dunne is descendant looking for the connection.
